Hey Jamie
Wow does this blog bring me back to our lengthy conversations this summer.I won’t lie that when you explained your understanding of God’s will to me I questioned you in my I own understanding. For me to accept this perspective was to say that everything I had believed about God’s will for my life was inevitably untrue….and I was not ready for that. I still believed that God would give a direct answer to all my requests…and I still believe he does…just sometimes His answer is (as you have pointed) silence! Sometimes (if not most of the time) he does give us choice. And Jamie if there is ever a time that I have been learning this it is now. The road of free will is often confusing and hard but I also have learned that it is in these times that God is longing for us to draw closer to Him…to let Him begin to bear fruit in our lives as he prunes and shapes us for His glory.

Thank you so much Jamie for listening to me through my hard times and for helping me to see through my confusion and discouragement.
